My style is defined by expressive brushstrokes and a varied, vibrant palette. My artwork reveals the permanence and impermanence of nature as it changes over time, transitions and transforms.

Artist
Paula Lindley
In my latest exhibition I have created a series of paintings and accompanying ceramics, which records changes to the Australian landscape apparent during repeat visits to estuaries, escarpments and riverbanks. I have created pictures of transient moments; twisted tea trees collapsed into water, a tree is submerged, water levels ebb and flow or inundate the shore, sunlight shimmers across the surface of the river, a duck swims by. Through these interpretations I hope to evoke an emotional response in the viewer.
